Fertilizers

Overview

Fertilizers are additional substances supplied to the crops to increase their productivity and yields. These fertilizers contain essential nutrients required by the plants, including nitrogen, potassium, and phosphorus.

There are different types of fertilizers: Bio-stimulants, Granular, Water Soluble, and Organic.

• Bio-Stimulants are fertilizers used to promote enhanced germination and root development, leading to increased vigor and greater stress and disease resistance.
• Granular Fertilizers contain a mix of different granules for each nutrient included in the package, indicated by the different colors of granules. Granular fertilizers need a while to dissolve or decompose before plants can access their nutrients.
• Water Soluble Fertilizers can be dissolved in water and are readily available for absorption by plants. They are applied directly to the plant through irrigation to increase nutrient use efficiency.
• Organic Fertilizers are derived from plants and animals.  They enrich the soil and boost the amount of organic matter in the soil, encourage microbial reproduction, and alter the physical and chemical composition of the soil.
